Research on the Inclination Characteristics of the Evaporative Cooling Platform for Wind Turbines
摘要
This paper conducts experimental research on the application of evaporative cooling systems in large offshore wind turbines, exploring the design requirements for the inclination angles of cooling systems in direct-drive and semi-direct-drive generators, and analyzing the potential impact of tower effects on cooling performance. By simulating the heat dissipation process of thermal sources, the results indicate that when the inclination angle of the cooling system exceeds 7°, the cooling medium can circulate stably, maintaining the generator temperature below 85 ℃ with uniform temperature distribution, meeting practical application requirements. The study validates the feasibility of evaporative cooling systems in offshore wind turbines and provides theoretical and experimental foundations for inclination angle design in different generator types.
