Software Simulation of Transformer Hotspot Temperature and Thermal Aging Rate
摘要
The insulation strength of a transformer determines its lifespan, and the hotspot temperature of the winding is the main factors affecting the insulation strength of the transformer. Therefore, the hotspot temperature has a significant impact on the load capacity and insulation lifespan of the transformer. During actual operation, different cooling methods and load ratio can lead to significant differences in the hotspot temperature rise and thermal aging rate of the transformer. Studying the variation patterns of the hotspot temperature rise and thermal aging rate under different operating conditions can provide a reasonable estimate of the operation life of the transformer in actual operation, thereby ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the transformer and improving the economic benefits of operation. Based on the relevant industry standards and calculation models of transformers, this paper developed a related calculation program to simulate and calculate the hotspot temperature rise and thermal aging rate of the transformer under different cooling methods and load rates. By integrating the calculation results under different operating conditions, the variation curves of the hotspot temperature rise and thermal aging rate under different operating conditions were drawn, providing a reference for the lifespan estimation of transformers.
