Research and Development of Magnetic Filter Power Supply for CRAFT NNBI
摘要
The power supply system is a critical component of the Negative ion-based Neutral Beam Injector (NNBI), including the RF power source (RF), Bias Plate (BP), Plasma Grid (PG), Extraction Grid (EG), Acceleration Grid (AG), and other related units. To meet the required parameters of the magnetic filter power supply (MFPS) used at the Plasma Grid (PG) and to investigate its impact on negative ion extraction, this paper proposes a design scheme utilizing full-bridge soft-switching technology for the MFPS, along with simulation and experimental validation. Power supply testing demonstrated a stable output of 2000 A with a current ripple of less than 1%, validating the feasibility of the proposed scheme. Additionally, a scheme of parallel current-sharing output with three magnetic filter power supplies was employed for beam extraction. Experimental results on the CRAFT NNBI platform confirm the MFPS's ability to effectively suppress electron extraction and improve the extraction ratio of negative ions.
