Mechanisms of Cultural Influence on Industry

This chapter explores the mechanisms through which industrial culture drives industrial development and its interaction with technological innovation. Three core mechanisms are defined: the supporting mechanism of industrial material culture (providing material foundations), the safeguarding mechanism of industrial institutional culture (optimizing resource allocation and efficiency), and the guiding mechanism of industrial spiritual culture (shaping behavioral orientations). The chapter further analyzes the mutual promotion between industrial culture and technology—technological progress provides foundations for culture, while culture influences innovation values, processes, and models. The findings emphasize that these mechanisms synergistically optimize industrial environments, guide stakeholder participation, and boost competitiveness. Industrial culture’s role in mitigating technology’s negative impacts and fostering sustainable innovation is also highlighted.
