Local Development, Social Relations, and the ‘Informal’ Consolidation of Urban Voids
摘要
Focusing on social dynamics, spatial planning and governance deregulation in global urban systems, latent trends in working-classes over time and space were considered a powerful engine of metropolitan development. These reflections advocate a cautious generalization of urban specificities, emphasizing mechanism-based explanations transferable across various economic contexts. The resulting argument foregrounds interdependencies among regulation, market practices and everyday tactics that co-produce settlement forms, public spaces, and urban design. This contribution advances an interpretive claim regarding the socio-spatial dynamics under examination, situating the discussion within a broader (comparative) frame ultimately dealing with the formation (or consolidation) of urban voids.
