Cylindrical MIMO Array Imaging
摘要
This chapter presents fully electronic MIMO array-based imaging using a cylindrical aperture, which provides wider angular coverage than conventional planar aperture systems. Two imaging schemes are considered, based on different configurations of transmit–receive antenna pairings. The first scheme, described in Sect. 6.2, allows arbitrary pairings between transmit and receive antennas. Key issues such as the dimensional expansion required to decouple the wavenumbers of the transmit and receive channels, along with the associated sampling criterion and resolution analysis, are discussed. To further enhance reconstruction speed, Sect. 6.3 introduces an alternative scheme that limits pairings to within a single sub-array (or cell) of the array. Essential considerations for phase calibration to ensure imaging accuracy are also addressed. The chapter concludes with a summary in Sect. 6.4.
