This chapter focuses on an imaging technique that integrates a linear MIMO array with mechanical scanning, referred to as linear MIMO-SAR. This approach provides a promising and cost-effective solution for millimeter-wave imaging in commercial applications. We begin with a review of the development of millimeter-wave imaging in Sect. 2.1. Section 2.2 introduces the mathematical model of MIMO array imaging. A wavenumber domain imaging algorithm tailored for the linear MIMO-SAR configuration is presented in Sect. 2.3. The issue of spectral aliasing due to array element undersampling is discussed in Sect. 2.4. Section 2.5 analyzes key imaging parameters, followed by simulation results in Sect. 2.6. Finally, Sect. 2.7 summarizes the chapter.
