Time-Series Analysis of Temporal Variations in Near Shore Bathymetry
摘要
Understanding temporal variations in bathymetry is crucial for numerous coastal and marine applications, including navigation, sediment analysis, habitat mapping and rip current analysis. The study employs time-series analysis to investigate bathymetric changes over time along RK Beach, Visakhapatnam, India using satellite imagery and remote sensing data obtained from General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO). The results are validated for near and far shore bathymetric data using in situ measurements of depth variations, with depth variations having a minimal RMSE of 2.01 m on average across multiple iterations.
