摘要

4D printing is a transformative technology that extends traditional 3D printing by incorporating time as a dynamic factor. It involves using smart materials that can change shape or properties in response to external stimuli such as magnetic, heat, light, or moisture. This capability allows for the creating of objects that can self-assemble, adapt, or repair over time, making them highly versatile for applications in fields like biomedical engineering, robotics, and architecture. This study explores the design and performance of magneto-responsive material such as ABS with varying percentages of ferrous particles. Multiphysics simulation has been carried out to analyze the deflection of a cantilever beam subjected to magnetic field. This study may be useful to develop smart structures via 4D printing or associated technology.
