This book selects urban and farmland areas in Beijing as research areas for different types of land cover, using high-resolution images from Worldview-2/3, SPOT-6, and ZY-3 as research data. Reference data is constructed through field surveys and visual judgement, used to evaluate the effectiveness and applicability of the methods in this book. Additionally, this chapter also performs pre-processing operations on the high-resolution remote sensing data, such as geometric correction, orthorectification, relative radiometric correction, and image fusion, to ensure the comparability of the data.
