This chapter elaborates on the research background and basis of this book, systematically reviews the research progress on high-resolution remote sensing multi-feature change detection at home and abroad, and the problems that need to be solved urgently, and thus brings out the purpose and content of the research. With the goal of object-oriented image analysis, and the main line of “object generation—multi-feature selection—change detection”, the generation process of image objects and the optimal selection of segmentation parameters are studied, the problem of image object feature optimisation combination based on genetic particle swarm algorithm is analysed, the theoretical framework of adaptive change vector analysis is constructed, and the “two-step” mode of multi-feature change detection of image objects is proposed.
