Case Study on the Educational Activities of Chinese and Foreign Educators

Before 1949, Christian educators constituted a relatively active group in China’s educational community. Though their numbers were limited, they had a considerable social influence and enjoyed high public esteem; many of them were distinguished figures known for their intellect, talent, and moral standing. Wei Zhuomin (Francis C. M. Wei), a famous philosopher and theologian and president of Huachung University, was one of the best in this group.
