摘要

Microgrids are environmentally friendly smaller versions of traditional microgrids. This research focuses on the design of a grid-connected microgrid for a community load. Microgrid design and mathematical modeling of various microgrid parameters are presented in detail. This research conducts a techno-economic analysis to assess the electrical demand patterns of a community and the availability of solar and wind resources, therefore assuring the economic feasibility of the proposed grid-tied microgrid. A hybrid optimization model is used to simulate and evaluate different configurations, focusing on cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Techno economical analysis is carried out based on net present cost. The best model is analyses for the power generation from different sources. The renewable energy fraction for the first best model is 88.84%. Energy exchange between the grid and microgrid is evaluated every month. The highest net power, 18,936 units, is for October, and $823.29 is gained from the grid.
