摘要

Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) present a Favorable outcome for reducing greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining the flexibility of traditional vehicles. This paper provides a detailed review of various PHEV configurations and architectures. Each configuration is assessed based on its energy efficiency, performance, and environmental impact. The study investigates how the SoC of the battery affects the functioning of the battery in EV, charge depleting, and charge sustaining modes. Additionally, it compares the fuel consumption, emissions, and efficiency of different PHEV setups under varying driving conditions. The review highlights the need for optimized control strategies, comprising rule based, optimization based, and learning based methods, to enhance the performance and energy management of PHEVs. The insights provided by this review can aid in selecting the optimal PHEV architecture, control strategy and battery selection to meet specific operational needs, contributing to the development of more sustainable transportation systems.
