Integration of Battery Management Systems with Solar Energy for Optimized Performance Using Metaheuristic Algorithms

In order to maximize performance, it is imperative that renewable energy systems be integrated with Battery Management Systems (BMS) as the globe moves toward clean and alternative energy sources like solar power. This study looks into the integration of solar energy to improve efficiency and examines the idea of BMS. Using the Simulink, Simscape, and Simscape Electrical libraries in MATLAB, a functional BMS model was created that simulates battery charging using a solar cell array. The study looks at the BMS’s function in protecting against unfavorable situations, optimizing the charging process, and monitoring metrics including current, voltage, temperature, and status estimations (Charge, Health, Power).
