This paper introduces the Infected Hyena Optimization (IHO), an innovative hybrid algorithm that effectively combines the exploratory strength of the Virus Colony Search (VCS) with the exploitation prowess of the Spotted Hyena Optimization (SHO). This synergistic integration allows the IHO to enhance search efficiency and accuracy across complex optimization landscapes. A comprehensive comparative analysis with its progenitor algorithms demonstrates the IHO’s superior capabilities in achieving global optima, highlighting notable improvements in both convergence rates and solution precision.
