Photodynamic Therapy
摘要
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has evolved into a practical and effective therapeutic option over the past two decades. It involves administration of a photosensitising agent, followed by photo-activation by light, which then generates singlet oxygen, within biologic tissues. PDT in dermatology has found to be of value in the treatment of Bowen’s disease, superficial basal cell carcinoma, acne vulgaris, mycosis fungoides, naevoid BCC syndrome, keratoacanthoma, superficial squamous cell carcinoma, Kaposi sarcoma and rosacea.
