Bicalutamide is a non-steroidal antiandrogen like futamide, and scores over the latter in being less hepatotoxic. In dermatology, bicalutamide is used for treating female pattern hair loss, hirsutism and minoxidil-induced hypertrichosis with favourable outcomes. However, more studies are warranted to further elucidate its dermatologic properties.
