Flutamide is a pure non-steroidal antiandrogen approved by the FDA for treating advanced prostate cancer. In dermatology, its utility in hirsutism, hormonal acne and female pattern hair loss has been exemplified. However, owing to its hepatotoxic potential, flutamide needs to be used with caution.
