Psoralens are derivatives of naturally occurring furocoumarins obtained from plants. It is of particular importance in the management of psoriasis and vitiligo. However, owing to the demand of timely sun exposure following oral/topical psoralen use, these drugs are often not preferred by most patients. Nevertheless, these drugs are effective, and if combined with other topical/systemic treatments results obtained can be very good.
