Pentoxifylline is a versatile drug in dermatology, used primarily as an adjunct to other therapeutic agents. Besides, it is safe and relatively economic. Some of the dermatoses where it is used include stasis eczema, lipodermatosclerosis, type 2 lepra reactions, keloids, lichen planus and psoriasis.
