Tetracyclines are another group of drugs with a multitude of applications in dermatology. Like macrolides, apart from its use for infections, tetracyclines elucidate anti-inflammatory effects because of which they are widely used in a number of dermatologic disorders. Currently, tetracyclines are most commonly employed for treating acne vulgaris (grades 2–4), with satisfactory outcomes.
