Tumour Necrosis Factor α Antagonists
摘要
Tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) antagonists are drugs approved for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, as well as psoriatic arthropathy. Of the TNFα blockers, adalimumab, infliximab and etanercept are most commonly utilized in dermatologic practice. Adalimumab has also demonstrated efficacy in the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa and pyoderma gangrenosum. Infliximab is noted for its rapidity of action and is of benefit in bringing about quick disease control in generalized pustular psoriasis and erythrodermic psoriasis. Etanercept outlines satisfactory outcomes in psoriatic arthropathy. The onset of action of etanercept, however, is slower compared to infliximab and adalimumab.
