Steroid Pulses in Dermatology
摘要
Steroid pulses in dermatology are used for various disorders. Of particular importance is the dexamethasone cyclophosphamide pulse for pemphigus vulgaris that has enabled better remission of the disease, while reducing corticosteroid toxicity. Other dermatoses where steroid pulses are employed include vitiligo, alopecia areata, urticaria and haemangioma. Besides, pulsing can be done even with topical corticosteroids, which has been employed for the long-term treatment of psoriasis.
