Owing to the emergence of resistant microbial strains, the utility of newer antimicrobial agents in dermatology has gained importance. Some of them include linezolid, daptomycin, quinupristin/dalfopristin, oritavancin and tigecycline. They all have proven to be effective in the management of these resistant infections.
