Arthroscopic and Minimally Invasive Management of Medial Epicondylitis

The intramuscular septa between the pronator teres (PT), flexor carpi radialis (FCR), palmaris longus (PL), and flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS) collectively form the anterior common tendon [1]. This anterior common tendon attaches to the medial epicondyle and the anterior joint capsule of the elbow, encompassing the attachment of the anterior oblique ligament. The intramuscular septum between the FDS and flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU) constitutes the posterior common tendon that attaches to the inferior surface of the medial epicondyle and the medial joint capsule. Approximately 50–75% of the proximal segment of the anterior oblique ligament comprises an intermixture of common tendons and fibers [2].
