摘要

Mild to moderate ulnar neuropathy with or without associated elbow osteoarthritis can be successfully treated with nonsurgical management. However, patients who fail nonsurgical treatments often require surgical intervention. Controversy exists over the optimal procedure for decompression of the ulnar nerve. Standard surgical approaches include open in situ decompression, subcutaneous transposition, intramuscular transposition, and submuscular transposition. We have performed subcutaneous anterior transposition of the ulnar nerve in the supine position, followed by arthroscopic arthroplasty in the prone position for cubital tunnel syndrome associated with osteoarthritic elbow joint. Since 2011, we have been performing ulnar nerve decompression using arthroscopy in prone position for cubital tunnel syndrome with osteoarthritis.
