Identifying Lightning Channel-Base Current Characteristics and Finding Heidler Function Parameters
摘要
As Heidler’s model is a good approximation for current at channel base this model is used widely in lightning studies and be adopted by IEC 62305. The Heidler’s model is used by many researchers. Heidler’s function has its own parameters and there is not a specific method for adjustment of these parameters for a known values lightning current parameters. Heidler et-al. introduced a graphical method with graphs which parameters of Heidler’s model can be determined from them, but using these graphs when the numbers of currents increase is challenging. In this chapter a Cholesky-based Monte Carlo is used to generate the characteristics of lightning current in order to statistically analysis the lightning.
