Hex-Based Forensic Analysis: A Novel Approach to File Signature Identification in Digital Investigations
摘要
Investigating cybercrimes, evaluating digital evidence, and maintaining data integrity all depend heavily on the quickly developing discipline of digital forensics. As cyberattacks become more sophisticated and digital devices become more complicated, forensic investigators need to use cutting-edge methods to find and examine digital evidence. The primary concern of this paper is the exploration of current developments in digital forensics and the use of hexadecimal (hex) values in forensic analysis. Investigators can recover erased files, examine file structures, and uncover hidden information by using the low-level representation of data that hex values offer. Hex analysis is also used in this research to show how useful it is in contemporary digital forensics.
