Lightweight cryptography is essential for securing resource constrained devices, especially as the demand for advanced encryption methods grows due to increasing data breaches. Traditional cryptographic algorithms often fail to meet the requirements of energy efficiency and computational simplicity needed for such devices. Authenticated Encryption with Associated Data (AEAD) algorithms are widely adopted to ensure both privacy and authentication in modern systems. This paper introduces Feather, a novel AEAD cipher designed for lightweight encryption and authentication. By optimizing energy and computational efficiency, Feather addresses the challenges of securing devices with limited resources while maintaining robust cryptographic standards.

摘要
