Today, people often manage multiple online accounts across various applications, making it challenging to remember each unique username and password. It’s common for users to mix up passwords between accounts or for- get them entirely. Fortunately, password managers offer a straightforward and effective solution by securely storing usernames and passwords, accessible whenever needed. However, one limitation of password managers is the need to remember a master password to unlock the stored credentials. Since the security of all accounts hinges on the master password, it’s crucial to choose a strong password and keep it confidential. Forgetting the master password could make it impossible to access the stored credentials. In this paper, we propose a novel graphical password scheme to construct a strong master password based on the images that are selected by users. The proposed scheme acts as a hybrid password scheme which transforms graphical passwords into textual passwords.
