The Interplay of Employee Efficiency and Financial Health in Indian Banking: Using Sustainability as a Key Factor
摘要
The foremost purpose of this research is to measure the impact of employee efficiency on the financial health of the banks using sustainability as an interaction model. This research involves 22 commercial banks in India for the period from 2010 to 2023. The research used panel data analysis and found that when employees began to be more efficient in their performance, the financial health of Indian banks was reduced. When the interaction model sustainability is used, it shows that sustainability does not affect the association between efficiency and the financial health of banks. The primary importance of this paper is to caution the various stakeholders of the banks to develop more comprehensive operational strategies and employee engagement programs that will not deteriorate the bank’s financial health. The research’s unique study of the intricate relationships among sustainability, financial health, and employee efficiency in the context of Indian banks is what makes it distinctive. The study’s exclusive focus on Indian banks may limit how broadly the results may be applied to other industries in India or other nations with distinct legal and economic frameworks.
