A new method of tooth machining by means of an assembled run-in cutter head that implements the generating worm with a variable pitch is presented. Basic formulas and approach for the calculation of machine-tool sets are given. Features and results of calculations of machine-tool sets and Ease-off for gearwheels of different types (spiroid, worm, bevel) are shown. Designs of applied tools and main manufacturing indicators of the gear cutting process are described. Some results of vast introduction of the new method into serial diversified production of gears are given, showing its efficiency and competitiveness in comparison with known and widely used methods. The method is implemented on machining centers and CNC hobbing machines.

摘要
