摘要

The usage of drones by civilians has grown significantly in recent years, as seen by the annual growth in overall sales. Crime involving the usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has increased due to the growing likelihood of UAV abuse. Data that can be used as digital evidence is obtained through forensic analysis of the data utilizing both static and live forensic techniques to understand the features of digital evidence on a UAV and to gather information that might be used as digital evidence in the UAV and controllers. This study delves into the digital forensic investigation of drones, emphasizing the forensic acquisition and analysis of data to uncover critical evidence in criminal and security incidents. Employing advanced methodologies, the research demonstrates the extraction of flight logs, GPS data, metadata, and deleted media from drones as pivotal steps in reconstructing events and identifying malicious activities. A key contribution of the case study involving the DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone is the identification of flight anomalies linked to unauthorized activity, providing valuable insights into how drone data can be utilized to track and prevent criminal behavior.
