Properly Discontinuous Actions of Discrete Subgroups of Lie Groups: Lie Theory and Computational Methods

We survey recent progress in the problem of describing classes of semisimple homogeneous spaces admitting Clifford-Klein forms with infinite fundamental group. The exposition is focused on the methods of Lie Theory and an algorithmic approach.
