Planning, Design and Practice of PHM Technology Application in Smart Nuclear Power Plants

The breakthrough development of artificial intelligence technology has brought new solutions and methods to the problem of safety and economic synergy of pressurized water reactor nuclear power technology, and the intelligent nuclear power plant has come into being. The intelligent nuclear power plant is intelligent at different levels of units, systems, and equipment. The application of artificial intelligence technology at the equipment level is mainly reflected in the application of Prognostics and Health Management(PHM) technology in equipment maintenance, that is, to perceive minor equipment failures in advance and perform predictive maintenance (PdM). At present, the application of PHM technology in nuclear power plants is only an attempt at "points" of individual equipment, lacking an overall plan. This paper will propose a set of implementation methods for the entire process of the PHM system, and give the overall planning and design work that should be completed from the aspects of equipment selection, function positioning, measurement point selection, measurement point layout, system acquisition and processing, function requirement analysis, system integration design, system implementation, testing and acceptance, so as to avoid the incomplete consideration of the construction of the PHM system in the nuclear power plant, which affects the construction of the intelligent system at the system and unit level and even the lack of functions or processes of the entire intelligent nuclear power plant. This method has been put into practice in the design process of the newly built intelligent nuclear power plant, laying a solid foundation for the realization of full-level intelligence of the intelligent nuclear power plant.
