Research on the Metering Methods of Radioactive Waste Resin
摘要
The radioactive waste resin generated from the operation of nuclear power plants needs to be metered during the processes of cement solidification or hot super-compaction treatment. Due to the radioactivity of the spent resin, personnel-contact measurement methods cannot be employed. Additionally, because the densities of saturated resin and water are close, the interface between the two phases is not easily accurately recognized by measurement instruments. Therefore, the precise measurement of spent resin is a challenging issue in engineering applications. This article will introduce and analyze the metering methods for radioactive spent resin, including volume measurement, weight measurement, and flow measurement, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each method to provide guidance for the design of spent resin measurement systems.
