China’s Utility Requirements Document for Advanced PWR
摘要
URD and EUR had made a significant impact on the development of advanced nuclear energy technologies in the US and Europe, as evidenced by the AP1000 and the EPR. China currently possesses the largest number of nuclear power units in the world. The success experience of 40 years of continuous development is helpful to construction and operation. Chinese government formulated the policy of “Develop Nuclear Power in a Proactive and Planned manner while Prioritizing Safety and Security”, users’ requirement is urgent need to consolidate these valuable experiences in design, construction, and operation. The issuance of “China’s Utility Requirements Document for Advanced PWR” (CUR) is one of these efforts. This paper introduces the CUR version for HPR1000. The whole document is organized according to the real practice of nuclear power plant projects implemented in China. It consists of 27 chapters, including the nuclear island, the conventional island, and the plant auxiliary facilities. It includes not only the requirements for the design, but also the requirements for construction, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning, that is, requirements throughout the life cycle of the plant. The requirements established by CUR are guided by five fundamental principles: (1) Chinese mature experience and wisdom, (2) Green development, (3) Integration of digitization and intelligence, (4) Safety first culture, and (5) Economic efficiency. These principles have been specifically applied to the design of each parameter and indicator. CUR has been applied in the new HPR1000 projects to optimize the designs and constructions.
