High flux reactors (HFRs) have become an important tool for nuclear energy research, material science, and radioisotope production due to their high neutron fluxes. In recent years, with the continuous development of nuclear energy applications and the increasing demand for new materials and radioisotopes, many HFRs are planned for construction in various countries. As an important part of nuclear safety, source term analysis and evaluation are crucial in the design and operation of HFRs. This paper mainly introduced the current construction status of HFRs in the world, summarized the research progress of source terms in HFRs, and indicated the key issues in HFR source terms study. Finally, the future development of source term study in HFRs was prospected.

摘要

High flux reactors (HFRs) have become an important tool for nuclear energy research, material science, and radioisotope production due to their high neutron fluxes.
