Geopolymers are inorganic materials, and they have gained recognition as viable alternatives to traditional cementitious binders due to its good mechanical properties, durability, as well as sustainability. They are environment-friendly cementitious material compared to cement industry which liberate considerable amount of carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas. Geopolymer materials are not only known for its excellent mechanical properties, but also for its superior fire and corrosion resistance. Wastes of various processes and residues of incineration are piled up at industries all around the globe. It causes negative impact on the environment. Geopolymers use such wastes as its raw materials. Geopolymer materials has the ability to adsorb heavy metals and limit other radioactive pollution, which and hence it is a promise to society’s brighter future. In this study, the geopolymer is prepared using red gypsum which is byproduct of TiO2 industry. This study concentrates on the effectiveness air and water curing on properties of geopolymer.

摘要
