Key Technologies and Challenges in Marine Composite Pipe and Cable Design
摘要
Composite pipes and cables are important equipment for marine resource development, widely applied in offshore oil and gas exploitation, deep-sea mining, offshore wind power generation, and other fields. Possessing advantages such as excellent bending performance, light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, and resistance to high and low temperatures, composite pipes and cables can effectively meet the demand of marine resource development moving increasingly towards deep waters. However, compared with traditional steel pipelines, composite pipes and cables feature more complex structural designs, and their mechanical properties and service life are more difficult to predict accurately. This chapter introduces conventional design methods combined with relevant standards, and summarizes the key issues that need further consideration in the design of composite pipes and cables, including structural optimization problems, material nonlinearity problems, geometric nonlinearity problems, and interfacial nonlinearity problems (such as interfacial strength, interfacial fatigue, and interfacial friction). This work is expected to provide certain guidance for the design and research of composite pipes and cables.
