Traveller Information Systems (TIS) are very important because they give people real-time data and personalised journey information, which makes the whole trip better. But because travellers’ needs are changing, we need more flexible, engaging and custom options. This essay looks at how Generative and Conversational AI technologies can be added to TIS to make it more interesting for users. Because generative AI can create complex content, it can make personalised trip suggestions, plans and alerts based on real-time data and user preferences. Conversational AI, which includes smart robots and virtual helpers, makes real time, engaging conversation easier, more accessible and faster for users. This article talks about the uses, pros and cons of using Generative and Conversational AI in TIS right now, focussing on how they could change user happiness and interest.
