In the Active Control of Structural Response (ACSR) system for helicopter airframe vibration controlling, the actuator is a main component part. Moreover, the controlled vibration level of the airframe is closely related to the actuator location. The optimization design of actuator placement can improve vibration controlling effectiveness, even make NΩ vibration approach zero. Therefore, the ACSR is an important research content for the helicopter vibration controlling. The present research situation and effect of actuator placement in some typical helicopters, as well as actuator placement methods are reviewed.
