The Internet of Things (IoT) offers a powerful solution for data exchange between devices over the Internet, minimizing human intervention. This technology can be harnessed to design smart irrigation systems that conserve water and automate operations. This chapter outlines an IoT-based irrigation system implemented using the ThingSpeak cloud platform. Sensors collect real-time field data on crucial parameters like soil moisture, temperature, and humidity. This data is then stored and analyzed on ThingSpeak, allowing farmers to make informed irrigation decisions through a mobile app.
