Water Quality Monitoring and Control System for Tilapia Fingerling Rearing
摘要
The research presented below has its raison d'être in the solution to the problem of providing a technological model for the rearing of Nilotic tilapia fingerlings for the promotion of fish farming. The objective was to develop a prototype for monitoring the rearing of alevins and water quality control. The choice of components and techniques to be used was made by comparing the advantages of each sensor or actuator, the electronic design, and the sending of data. Datasheets were made comparing components with respect to functionality (range of values, pre-accuracy, price) and for the development in general. From the results obtained, the development of the electronic stage was obtained, in which the following components were defined: Arduino Mega microprocessor, DS18B20 temperature sensor, PH4502C pH sensor, SEN0237A dissolved oxygen sensor, and level sensor. Finally, tests were performed to send data through the serial port, which provided the following results: 0.23% error in temperature measurement, 0.79% error in pH measurement in water, 0.93% error in dissolved oxygen, and 0.17% error in level measurement. It is concluded that the system works with high accuracy for monitoring the water quality of the fry hatchery.
