Soft Tissue Affections of Upper Limb and Lower Limb
摘要
Subacromial bursitis is a common cause of shoulder pain, resulting from inflammation of the subacromial bursa—a fluid-filled sac located between the supraspinatus tendon and the acromion, which helps reduce friction during shoulder movement. The condition often develops due to repetitive overhead activity, trauma, or associated rotator cuff tendinopathy. Patients typically present with dull, aching pain over the lateral or anterolateral aspect of the shoulder, which may radiate to the deltoid region. The pain is often aggravated by overhead movements, reaching across the body, or activities like combing hair, lifting objects, or dressing. Night pain is common, especially when lying on the affected side. A characteristic finding is a painful arc of movement, particularly during abduction between 60 and 120 degrees.
