Tuberculosis (TB) of knee is the third most common site (accounting for around one-tenth) of osteoarticular tuberculosis. Unlike spine and hip, one can make an early diagnosis because knee is located superficially and gives rise to obvious swelling and limitation of movements early in the course of the disease. Anti-tubercular treatment (ATT) is the mainstay of treatment. If treatment is not initiated on time, it can lead to triple dislocation (deformity) of knee. If diagnosed late along the course of disease, some kind of surgical intervention like synovectomy, joint debridement, arthrodesis, or arthroplasty may be required, depending upon the stage of the disease [1–3].
