Operational Analysis and Optimization of the Pebble Bed HTGR Fuel Burnup Measurement System
摘要
The pebble bed HTGR burnup measurement system utilizes high-purity germanium detectors to detect the gamma rays emitted by specific radioactive isotopes in fuel elements. By measuring the intensity of these gamma rays, the activity of the isotopes is determined, which in turn allows for the calculation of the burnup depth of the fuel elements. Online non-destructive burnup measurement is a crucial technology in the field of nuclear energy, enabling real-time or periodic measurement of fuel burnup without damaging the fuel elements. This paper conducts a detailed analysis of the issues encountered during the operation of the pebble bed HTGR burnup measurement system and proposes relevant optimization and improvement schemes, providing a reference for subsequent more detailed scheme verification.
