One is caused by water pollution, also referred to as wastewater, while the other is a result of overpopulation, which is referred to as water shortage. Therefore, it is beneficial to monitor the aforementioned issues and find remedies. Recycling water is the only option to prevent water scarcity; however, wastewater comes in a variety of forms and mixes. It is simpler to identify the underlying causes and thereafter address them with the aid of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). This chapter discusses the advantages of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) inwastewater management and treatment, along with the outcomes achieved by countries that have implemented these technologies. Using ML and AI in wastewater treatment provides high accuracy rate, reduces process costs and duration, and produces results that can be monitored globally, allowing us to resolve this problem.
