Revolutionizing Construction Management Through AI and IoT: A Study of the Indian Construction Industry
摘要
With the growth of the Internet of Things (IoT), information and communication technology (ICT), big data, automated processes, standardized systems, difficulties, inflexion, and development of blockchain, along with supply chain, the construction sector, which is the biggest in India, is undergoing important technical and commercial shifts. This study examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and the IoT in revolutionizing the construction sector, specifically in India. The swift urbanization and infrastructure development in India present significant opportunities for AI and IoT to improve productivity, safety, and operational efficiency. The capacity of AI to scrutinize extensive datasets and facilitate automated decision-making, alongside IoT’s real-time surveillance, tackles significant industry challenges, including labor shortages and logistical intricacies. The document examines contemporary technological innovations and their effects on business models, safety procedures, and project management. Notwithstanding the substantial advantages, the Indian construction sector encounters obstacles to adoption, such as elevated implementation expenses, data security apprehensions, and deficiencies in workforce skills. The study recommends government incentives, specialized training programs, improved cybersecurity protocols, and pilot projects to demonstrate the efficacy of AI and IoT in addressing these challenges. The results underscore the necessity for strategic investments and innovations to enable the industry to leverage the opportunities afforded by digital technologies, resulting in a more sustainable and efficient building industry.
